Cyprus, an island located off the coast of Greece and home to over a million residents. My favourite feature of the island are its beaches. If laying on the beach is a little slow for you then you can try your hand at the plethora of water sports available like windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing. The sea surrounding the island is also peppered with world-ranking wrecks and diverse marine life to keep you active.
Whether it is the beginning of the day or the end, Cypriot cuisine is a mix of Greek and Middle Eastern cultures, but it is no secret that the 'Mediterranean diet' is known to being one of the healthiest, thanks to its local grown fruits and vegetables as well as olive oil, pulses, lean meat and local herbs. This is one of the main reasons chefs love to cook on the island and explore new flavours.
